Students are able to see and engage with written key vocabulary in the everyday learning environment. Set 1 features German analogue clock times o’clock and half past the hour. Set 2 features quarter to and quarter past the hour. The word walls provide instant question and answer prompts such as Wie viel Uhr ist es? or Wie spät ist es? and align well with conversational scenarios like daily routine for example. To fully maximise the learning potential of word walls and other classroom decor / display, it’s useful to compare and contrast language with students’ first / home language. This is particularly helpful with half past the hour in German, which students often find quite challenging, and really helps students develop their general language skills and awareness. Students generally find the competitive element really motivating, whether playing solo or in teams. The games work well in various learning contexts, for example learn and practice during the introductory phase, refresh and revise throughout the school year and activities for sub / cover lessons. ​ There are two sets in the mini-bundle, each with 60 grids: 40 with clock faces only, perfect for developing listening skills, and 20 mixed clock faces and time phrases. These grids work particularly well for both listening and reading skills.
